The Need
Young people, especially those from underrepresented communities, face financial hardship, family stressors, parent/guardian illness, neighborhood violence, or an underperforming school—significant barriers to realizing their potential.
Our Approach
We’re with our scholars and their families for the long-term—middle school through career launch. Through Residential and Academy settings, we equip them with life preparedness, empowered learning, personal development, leadership & service, and college & career readiness.

YOUR DONATION IS ELIGIBLE FOR A TAX CREDIT
YOP PROGRAM
Hope Ignites St. Louis has been awarded Youth Opportunity Program (YOP) tax credits to provide funding to our program, helping academically motivated young people stay in school and become career-ready men and women for others.
WHAT IS YOP?
YOP is a tax credit program managed by the State of Missouri Dept. of Economic Development, providing credits to eligible donors. Gifts of $5,000 or more to Hope Ignites St. Louis may receive a 70% state tax credit in addition to state and federal income tax deductions available with charitable donations.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
• Individuals making gifts of: cash* or stocks
• Businesses paying taxes in Missouri: sole proprietors, corporations, S-corporations, partnerships, LLCs, farm operations

*Funds from Donor-Advised Funds are not eligible for YOP tax credits.
**Sample based on 35% federal tax bracket and 4.95% Missouri tax bracket. The federal tax savings assumes that taxpayer has exceeded the charitable contributions floor equal to .5% of Adjusted Gross Income. Additional taxes may occur; consult your tax advisor to determine your specific benefit.

NAME CHANGE AND DONATIONS
We’re so grateful for your support of Hope Ignites St. Louis, formerly Boys Hope Girls Hope of St. Louis! As we work through our legal name change with the Internal Revenue Service, we need your help to ensure gifts reach us without delay.
We’ve seen some confusion in online giving portals during this transition. While we’re updating our name to Hope Ignites in these systems, some portals and donor-advised fund (DAF) databases may still list us as Boys Hope Girls Hope until the IRS change is complete.
